The villa is situated in a typical country village in Alicante with a small population of about 1,500 people. It is 16 to 23km inland from the very holiday resorts of Xabia and Denia, and an hour’s drive from the major airports of Valencia and Alicante. A small supermarket and various small shops, banks, a pharmacy, medical and dental surgeries provide facilities, plus many bars and restaurants and cafes. The old village remains unchanged, the hillside residence of L'Aspre being one addition. Views over the citrus, almond and olive groves and the surrounding pine-clad hills offer maximum comfort and relaxation. The nearest airport which is Alicante is about 60 miles away from the villa, the airports of Murcia and Valencia are the next nearest airports these would be slightly further away from the villa and the airport at Alicante, car hire Alicante Airport provides the best way to get to the villa from the airport and gives you security in travelling around Alicante.

The Santa Bárbara castle is situated on Mount Benacantil, it overlooks the city and is lined with palm trees, consisting of marble stones and is one of the most lovely promenades in Spain. At the end of the promenade is a monument by the artist Mark Hersch, who still lives in the city. The main church of Alicante and the bishop seat is Concatedral de San Nicolás de Bari, which is from the 17th century. El Palmeral Park is one of the popular parks of Alicante. It has walking trails, children's playgrounds, lakes and brooks, picnic tables and an auditorium for concerts. El Ereta Park is located on Mount Benacantil. It runs from the Santa Bárbara castle down to the old part of Alicante.

Local activities include going to beaches, restaurants, cafes are found less than a mile away from the villa, Benidorm is roughly 25 miles away and boasts major attractions like the popular Aqualandia Water Park and the marine animal park and travelling around the coast line and towards inland. Every summer in Alicante, there is a two-month-long programme of music, theatre and dance is staged in the Paseo del Puerto
